In the Real World with Lucas
Where in the world inspires you or has left an impact on you?
“Mount Shasta in California was really my first experience outside of the city. I was born and raised in Miami and moved straight to New York City at 18 so I never really was around trees until this experience. Mount Shasta is this mythical place maybe like 3 hours above San Francisco. It's said to have been like one of the spiritual centers of the world and I really felt that when I was there, I started hugging trees! I always said when I was younger that I wanted to pave the whole world but now? Please, young me, wrong there!”
Do you have a favorite place, sight, or restaurant?
“There was a heart-shaped lake that was about a 3-hour hike that was very nice. I went with my partner at the time, it's very romantic.”
What is your #1 travel tip?
“Pack food! Sometimes you go somewhere, maybe it's a business trip, I was in Switzerland and the food there, no shots, it wasn't good. Sometimes you just want to eat instant noodles at home.”
